Tell OH Senator Rob Portman – Extend the $600 unemployment emergency compensation

Frank Wallace, PUP

All of us want to be able to provide for our families, but due to the COVID crisis, more than 750,000 Ohioans are unemployed. At the end of July, families will have $600 less each week to make ends meet if Congress cuts the Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (PUC) program.

The additional $600 a week in PUC expires July 31st, 2020 but Ohio’s Senator Rob Portman is on the Senate Finance Committee and has the power to extend the expiration date. It’s his job to make sure we have the resources the people of our state needs to chart a path out of this crisis to an economy that works for all.

We need Senator Rob Portman to take immediate action to fix Ohio’s broken unemployment system and pass a stimulus that extends the $600 PUC supplement to provide the critical support families need.

Send Senator Portman a letter letting him know how essential the extra $600 a week of emergency unemployment compensation is to you and why it needs to be extended until the health crisis is over in order to keep food on our tables, roofs over our heads and make things better for all Ohioans.

Together, we can be #AllinforOhio and make this
a place where all of us thrive.
